All Skills courses at Bear Creek Outdoor Centre include meals, accommodations at camp and equipment. Paddle Canada memberships are required for instructor level programs and are not included in the course tuition.

You are more than welcome to bring your own equipment or use ours at camp.

Paddle Canada Canoe Courses are available for groups on request at our location or yours.

Outdoor Educator Training

This summer series of programs will include:

  • Wilderness First Aid
  • Paddle Canada Lake Canoe Instructor
  • Paddle Canada Canoe Tripping Instructor
  • Swiftwater Rescue

Paddle Canada Moving Water  Groups of educators are encouraged to contact us. Custom training programs are available to groups of teachers based on their certification needs. We will put together the right program that takes into consideration the skills and experiences that you already possess.

**Please note that the Outdoor Educator Training program is open only to qualified teachers and other possessing strong teaching backgrounds and experience. Skills evaluations will determine certification issued for paddling. Be prepared for an intense week.

What’s Included

All meals, accommodations and group equipment are provided on course. Accommodations are in shared cabins. Please bring your sleeping bag and pillow/other bedding. You are welcome to come out the evening before the course begins to get settled in.

What’s not Included

Paddle Canada Membership is not included in the cost of Instructor level programs.
